Despite the name, sexuality counseling is not mental health therapy, psychotherapy, or any other counseling service. Instead, AASECT Certified Sexuality Counselors, like me, offer your more short-term, direct, realistic, and easily tangible solutions, suggestions, problem solving, and other clinical techniques and suggestions to help you resolve your concerns related to your sexuality, intimate relationships and your sexual health and wellness.
If you are a physical therapy client of mine and we are addressing your pelvic floor, sexual health, or sexual wellness - I seamlessly integrate sexuality counseling techniques into your sessions.
If you are NOT a physical therapy client, I can support you thought coaching, consulting, and educational sessions.
Why am I doing this work?
I am doing this work because I believe you deserve better. You deserve to have your intimate needs addressed and taken seriously in the medical community and society.
Transgender and non-binary folks deserve affirming healthcare that is built for them as unique humans, the freedom to celebrate their own lived experiences, as well as the opportunity to see other trans and non-binary people thrive in society.
You deserve to work with a physical therapist who is not only affirming but also celebratory of YOU, your goals, and meaningful activities. You deserve to work with a physical therapist who you do not have to educate on your intersecting identities, including gender/sxuality. You deserve the time, space, and 1:1 attention it takes to reach YOUR meaningful goals.
You deserve to write your own intimacy narratives and be free to feel pleasure (pleasure in every sense of the word: delight, happiness, excitement, play) in your body. You are deserving of this, play, and joy.
Physical Therapy centered on helping you move better, play more, and feel good in your body!
